citizenship
Our Five Day Shipboard Course has been approved by CNET as an
equivalent to their Fiber Optic Maintenance Technician Course (A-670-0063).
That makes us the Navy's exclusive provider of this course. Taught
for the Navy at various Naval Bases, this course is in strict
adherence to MIL-STD-2042B(SH) and NTSM-408. All our instructors have
real world experience having spent literally thousands of hours terminating, splicing and testing
fiber optic cable systems on over 200 U.S. Navy ships and submarines.
This course is the most comprehensive, hands-on shipboard
fiber optic training available anywhere.
Course overview: Students who successfully complete our training course will have the experience and confidence to terminate Single Terminus (ST) and Multiple Terminus (MT) connectors, COTS SC connectors, test, troubleshoot and analyze shipboard fiber optic systems in accordance with MIL-STD-2042B (SH).
Who should attend:
Anyone who is involved with the installation of fiber optic
components, testing, and troubleshooting on Naval surface ships and
submarines
Certifications:
Successful completion of the five day course and test qualifies you to receive:
BICSI - CEC's
(Continuing Education Credits)
DELPHI CERTIFICATION
KITCO - Completion
Certificate
ETA FOI CERTIFICATION (OPTIONAL) -
students are offered the option of taking the Certified Fiber Optic
Installer (CFOI) exam from the ETA (Electronics Technician
Association) for a fee of $150. Upon successful completion, you will
be certified as an ETA Certified Fiber Optics Installer.
