This 100X "straight view" scope is easy to adjust and will accept any 2.5µm ferrule. A special tygon tubing grips the ferrule so the installer does not have to hold the connector in place. A convenient 8X eye loupe is built in as well. Batteries are included.

Link loss testing is a critical part of ensuring that any fiber optic installation meets the desired performance criteria. Many installers are not yet aware of the importance of this testing or the necessity of using only Certified Commercial Measurement Quality Jumpers (CCMQJ’s) to ensure the test’s accuracy and repeatability.
KITCO Fiber Optics introduced CCMQJs after developing similar jumpers for the United States Navy. Jumpers used for link loss testing must incorporate high quality connectors, cable and components to provide accurate and consistent results. CCMQJs are manufactured using singlemode-quality connectors with zirconia ferrules and pre-radiused domed surfaces. Our strict assembly and testing procedures allow us to certify only cables that fall within a .01dB - .35dB loss range with a consistency of .05dB standard deviation. Because of these tolerances, a CCMQJ will correctly reject a link that does not meet the prescribed standards.
The CCMQJ Light Source and Power Meter Kit includes six CCMQJs (three ST/ST, two SC/SC and one ST/SC), as well as a precision light source and power meter with .01dB resolution. The light source and power meter are high quality devices that not only pass the Coupled Power Ratio (CPR) test but have also been approved for use by the United States Navy.
This kit also includes alcohol pads, appropriate couplings (adapters), an AC power pack, and detailed instruction manuals. All items are protected in a durable soft-sided case.
